Mankara west school is a UP school which is located in lakkidi-perur panchayath, 1.5 km away from pathirippala junction. It is one of the best UP schools in the panchayath and has around 250 students and 12 teaching staffs. MWBUPS is selected as the best school for the 'Mathrubhumi SEED' programme.
